Overview

Sometimes confused with Silene foetida (as in Euro+Med), it is actually a very distinct species with rosette-forming, neatly petiolate lower leaves, petals entire or lightly emarginate and strongly tuberculate seeds. Furthermore, it occurs on solid siliceous rock rather than on scree.
