Description

Mesophile acidophilous grasslands formed by species of Agrostis and Festuca, in association with other grasses such as Danthonia decumbens or Galium saxatile.

Protection

This habitat is not protected under the EU Habitat Directive.

Relations with other habitat types

Interpretable as a lowland analogue of R43z and an acidophilous analogue of R1A3, these grasslands often occur in dynamic, grazing-mediated mosaics with shrublands of block S33, as well as the less soil-eroded variants of S42.
